Patent Claims:	1. A compound selected from the group consisting of the formulae 15.a.4 and 15a.5: ##STR00040## 2. The compound of claim 1, wherein the compound is greater than 95% pure or greater than 99% pure. 3. A pharmaceutical composition comprising: a) therapeutically effective amount of a compound of claim 1, in the form of a single diastereoisomer; and b) at least one pharmaceutically acceptable excipient, diluent or adjuvant. 4. The composition of claim 3 further comprising temozolomide and/or Avastin. 5. A method for the treatment of cancer in a patient comprising administering to the patient a therapeutically effective amount of a compound of claim 1 to a patient in need of such treatment. 6. The method of claim 5, wherein the cancer is selected from the group consisting of leukemia, neuroblastoma, glioblastoma, cervical, colorectal, pancreatic, renal and melanoma. 7. The method of claim 5, wherein the cancer is selected from the group consisting of lung, breast, prostate, ovarian and head and neck. 8. The method of claim 5 wherein the compound is administered simultaneously, separately or sequentially with a chemotherapeutical agent selected from temozolomide, cisplatin, 5-flurouracil, taxotere or gemcitabine, preferably temozolomide. 9. The method of claim 5 further comprising administering radiation therapy. 10. The method of claim 5 in combination with surgical removal of a cancer.
