Title:	Method of enhancing hair growth
Abstract:	Methods and compositions for stimulating the growth of hair are disclosed wherein said compositions include a cyclopentane heptanoic acid, 2-cycloalkyl or arylalkyl compound represented by the formula I ##STR00001## wherein the dashed bonds represent a single or double bond which can be in the cis or trans configuration, A, B, Z, X, R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are as defined in the specification. Such compositions are used in treating the skin or scalp of a human or non-human animal. Bimatoprost is preferred for this treatment.

Claims:	1. A method of increasing one or more of: length, thickness, number, density, luster, sheen, brilliance, gloss, glow, shine and patina of eyelash hair in a human, comprising administering an effective amount of bimatoprost to an eyelid margin of a human. 2. The method of claim 1 wherein the effective amount of bimatoprost is administered in the form of a liquid composition containing about 0.03% bimatoprost by weight of the composition. 3. The method of claim 1 wherein bimatoprost is administered to an eyelid margin at least once a day. 4. The method of claim 1 further including a method of increasing one or more of: length, thickness, number, density, luster, sheen, brilliance, gloss, glow, shine and patina of eyebrow hair in a human, comprising administering an effective amount of bimatoprost to the eyebrow of the human. 5. The method of claim 4 wherein the effective amount of bimatoprost is administered in the form of a liquid composition containing about 0.03% by weight of the composition. 6. The method of claim 2 wherein the composition is a solution. 7. A method of increasing one or more of: length, thickness, number, density, luster, sheen, brilliance, gloss, glow, shine and patina, of hair on a human scalp, comprising administering an effective amount of bimatoprost to the human scalp. 8. The method of claim 7 wherein the effective amount of bimatoprost is administered in the form of a liquid composition containing about 0.001% to about 0.1% bimatoprost by weight of the composition. 9. The method of claim 8 wherein the effective amount of bimatoprost is administered in the form of a liquid composition containing about 0.03% bimatoprost by weight of the composition. 10. The method of claim 1 wherein the effective amount is administered in the form of a liquid composition containing about 0.001% to about 0.1% bimatoprost by weight of the composition. 11. The method of claim 1 wherein the human is suffering from eyelass loss. 12. The method of claim 7 wherein the human is suffering from hair loss. 13. The method of claim 12 wherein the hair loss is due to alopecia.
