Claims: | 1. A method for promoting an increase of the crypt plus villus height in a patient in need thereof, comprising the step of delivering to the patient a pharmaceutical composition comprising a mammalian GLP-2 and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. 2. The method for promoting an increase of the crypt plus villus height in a patient in need thereof according to claim 1, wherein the peptide is a mammalian GLP-2. 3. The method for promoting an increase of the crypt plus villus height in a patient in need thereof according to claim 1, wherein the mammalian GLP-2 is human GLP-2 (SEQ ID NO: 4). 4. The method for promoting an increase of the crypt plus villus height in a patient in need thereof according to claim 1, wherein the mammalian GLP-2 is rat GLP-2 (SEQ ID NO: 3). |
