Erdafitinib may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth.

Erdafitinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Testosterone can cause the growth of prostate cancer cells. Abiraterone acetate lowers the amount of testosterone made by the body. This may help stop the growth of tumor cells that need testosterone to grow. Enzalutamide blocks the use of testosterone by the tumor cells. Giving erdafitinib with abiraterone acetate or enzalutamide may work better in treating patients with prostate cancer compared to abiraterone acetate or enzalutamide alone.
