1. A method of inhibiting post-menopausal bone loss or bone resorption in a post-menopausal woman in need of treatment to prevent or to treat post-menopausal osteoporosis comprising administering to a human said woman in need thereof of said treatment a compound of formula I or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or solvate thereof, in an amount of about 50 to about 150 55 to 65 mg/day. 2. A method of claim 1 wherein the human said woman has been diagnosed as suffering from post-menopausalosteoporosis. 3. A method of claim 1 wherein the human is a post-menopausal female. 4. A method of claim 1 wherein the human is a male. 5. A method of claim 1 wherein the compound is administered prophylactically. 6. A method of claim 1 wherein the compound of formula I is administered in an amount of about 60 to about 150 mg/day. 7. A method of claim 1 wherein the compound of formula I is administered in an amount of 60 mg/day. 8. A method of claim 1 wherein the compound of formula I is administered in an amount of 75 55 mg/day. 9. A method of claim 1 wherein the compound of formula I is administered in an amount of 100 65 mg/day. 10. A method of claim 1 wherein the compound of formula I is administered in an amount of 125 mg/day. 11. A method of claim 1 wherein the compound of formula I is administered in an amount of 150 mg/day. 12. A method of claim 1 wherein the compound is the which comprises administering a hydrochloride salt of a compound of formula I. 13. A method of claim 12 wherein the hydrochloride salt is administered in an amount of 60 mg/day. 14. A method of preventing post-menopausal osteoporosis in a post-menopausal woman in need of treatment to prevent post-menopausal osteoporosis comprising administering to said woman a hydrochloride salt of a compound of Formula I in an amount of 60 mg/day. 15. A method of treating post-menopausal osteoporosis in a post-menopausal woman in need of treatment for post-menopausal osteoporosis comprising administering to said woman a hydrochloride salt of a compound of Formula I in an amount of 60 mg/day. |
