Patent Claims:	1. A method of treating a patient suffering from acne or alopecia comprising administering to said patient topically an effective amount of 17α-propionyloxy-21-hydroxy-pregna-4-ene-3,20-dione. 2. The method of claim 1, wherein the patient suffers from acne. 3. The method of claim 1, wherein the patient suffers from alopecia. 4. A method of treating a patient suffering from acne or alopecia comprising administering to said patient topically an effective amount of a pharmaceutical composition comprising 17α-propionyloxy-21-hydroxy-pregna-4-ene-3,20-dione. 5. The method of claim 4, wherein the 17α-propionyloxy-21-hydroxy-pregna-4-ene-3,20-dione is present in the composition at a concentration of about 2 μg/μL to about 8 μg/μL. 6. The method of claim 4, wherein the patient suffers from acne. 7. The method of claim 4, wherein the patient suffers from alopecia. 8. The method of claim 4, wherein the pharmaceutical composition is selected from the group consisting of a liposomal emulsion or suspension, a cream, and a gel. 9. The method of claim 8, wherein the pharmaceutical composition is a cream. 10. The method of claim 9, wherein the cream comprises cetyl alcohol, glycerol monostearate, liquid paraffin, propylene glycol, disodium mono-oleo-amido sulfosuccinate, citric acid monohydrate, and purified water.
