2. The auto-injector of claim 1, wherein the electronic output device is configured to output the electronic indication in response to a sensor input.

3. The auto-injector of claim 1, wherein the electronic output device is configured to output the electronic indication in response to a user input.

4. The auto-injector of claim 1, wherein the electronic output device is configured to output the electronic indication in response to a determination of a hazardous condition.

5. The auto-injector of claim 1, wherein the electronic indication includes at least one of a visual output, an audible output, a recorded speech output or a haptic output.

6. The auto-injector of claim 1, wherein said electronic output device includes at least one of a speaker, a display, a light emitting diode, a vibrator and a heater.

7. The auto-injector of claim 1, wherein the electronic output device includes: a microprocessor configured to produce a signal associated with the electronic indication; and a sensor in electronic communication with the microprocessor, the microprocessor configured to produce the signal in response to an input received from the sensor.

8. The auto-injector of claim 1, wherein the electronic output device includes a switch, the output device configured to output the electronic indication when the switch is moved from a first switch state to a second switch state.

9. The auto-injector of claim 1, further comprising a piston adapted to move within said vial.

10. The auto-injector of claim 1, wherein the non-electronic force initiator includes a gas container.

11. The auto-injector of claim 1, wherein the housing defines a channel adapted to convey the at least a portion of the medicament from said vial to a needle.

12. The auto-injector of claim 1, wherein said injectable medicament is a liquid.

13. The auto-injector of claim 1, wherein said injectable medicament is a mixture of a liquid and a solid.

14. The auto-injector of claim 1, further comprising a spring adapted to retract a needle fluidly coupled to said vial.

15. The auto-injector of claim 1, further comprising a releasable actuation lock adapted to prevent accidental activation of said auto-injector.

16. An apparatus, comprising: a medicament delivery device configured to deliver a medicament into a body, the medicament delivery device including: a housing; a medicament container disposed within the housing, the medicament container configured to contain the medicament; a delivery mechanism configured to produce a force to deliver the medicament into the body; a safety lock configured to engage a portion of the delivery mechanism to prevent actuation of the delivery mechanism; and an electronic circuit system configured to be coupled to the housing, the electronic circuit system configured to output a plurality of recorded speech instructions, the electronic circuit system including a first switch and a second switch, the first switch operably coupled to the safety lock such that the safety lock actuates the first switch when the safety lock is moved, the second switch operably coupled to a portion of the delivery mechanism such that the portion of the delivery mechanism actuates the second switch when the delivery mechanism is actuated, the electronic circuit system configured to output a first recorded speech instruction from the plurality of recorded speech instructions when the first switch is actuated, the electronic circuit system configured to output a second recorded speech instruction from the plurality of recorded speech instructions when the second switch is actuated.

17. The apparatus of claim 16, wherein the plurality of recorded speech instructions is output in a predetermined sequence.

18. The apparatus of claim 16, wherein the plurality of recorded speech instructions is output in a sequence determined based on input received from any one of the first switch, the second switch, a sensor or a timer.

19. The apparatus of claim 16, wherein: the medicament delivery device includes an actuator configured to actuate the delivery mechanism; the electronic circuit system includes a light output device adjacent the actuator, the electronic circuit system configured to produce a light output via the light output device when the first switch is actuated; and the first recorded speech instruction identifies a location of the actuator.

20. The apparatus of claim 16, wherein the plurality of recorded speech instructions includes an instruction associated with positioning the medicament delivery device adjacent the body.

21. The apparatus of claim 16, wherein the plurality of recorded speech instructions includes an instruction associated with actuation of the medicament delivery device.
