Abstract:	7-(1-Pyrrolidinyl)-3-quinolone- and -naphthyridone-carboxylic acid derivatives as antibacterial agents and feed additives, of the formula ##STR1## in which X1 is halogen, X2 is hydrogen, halogen, amino or other radical, R1 is alkyl, cycloalkyl, optionally substituted phenyl or other radical, R2 is hydrogen, alkyl or a dioxolylmethyl radical, R3 is ##STR2## and A is N, CH, C-halogen, or the like, or forms a bridge with R1, and addition products thereof.

Patent Claims:	1. The compound 1-cyclopropyl-7-([S,S]-2,8-diazabicyclo-[4.3.0]non-8-yl)-6-fluoro-1,4-dihy dro-8-methoxy-4-oxo-3-quinolinecarboxylic acid having the formula: ##STR382## or an alkali metal, alkaline earth metal, silver or guanidinium salt thereof or a pharmaceutically utilizable hydrate or acid addition salt thereof, said compound substantially free of other enantiomers and stereoisomers. 2. The compound (1-cyclopropyl-7-(2,8-diazabicyclo[4.3.0]non-8-yl)-6-fluoro-8-methoxy-1,4- dihydro-4-oxo-3-quinolonecarboxylic acid) of the formula ##STR383## or an addition product thereof with water, an acid or an alkali. 3. An antibacterial composition comprising an antibacterially effective amount of a compound or addition product thereof according to claim 1 and a diluent. 4. An antibacterial composition comprising an antibacterially effective amount of a compound or addition product thereof according to claim 2 and a diluent. 5. A method of combating bacteria in a patient in need thereof which comprises administering to such patient an antibacterially effective amount of a compound or addition product thereof according to claim 1. 6. A method of promoting the growth of an animal which comprises administering to said animal a growth promoting effective amount of a compound or addition product thereof according to claim 1. 7. A method of combating bacteria in a patient in need thereof which comprises administering to such patient an antibacterially effective amount of a compound or addition product thereof according to claim 2. 8. A method of promoting the growth of an animal which comprises administering to said animal a growth promoting effective amount of a compound or addition product thereof according to claim 2.
