1. A pharmaceutical composition comprising: (1) suvorexant in an amorphous form; (2) a concentration-enhancing polymer selected from the group consisting of copovidone, hydroxypropyl cellulose (HPC), hydroxypropyl methyl acetate succinate (HPMCAS), hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC), hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose phthalate (HPMCP), methyl cellulose acetate phthalate, hydroxypropyl cellulose acetate phthalate, cellulose acetate terephthalate, cellulose acetate isophthalate, cellulose acetate phthalate (CAP), cellulose acetate trimellitate (CAT), and polyvinyl caprolactam-polyvinylacetate-polyethylene glycol graft copolymer; wherein the pharmaceutical composition is prepared by a process comprising hot melt extrusion of a mixture comprising suvorexant and the concentration enhancing polymer and which comprises 5 mg, 10 mg, 15 mg or 20 mg of suvorexant, and wherein the suvorexant is present in a form that contains at least 90 weight % of the amorphous form of suvorexant relative to other morphological forms of suvorexant. 2. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 1, wherein the concentration-enhancing polymer is selected from the group consisting of copovidone, hydroxypropyl cellulose (HPC), hydroxypropyl methyl acetate succinate (HPMCAS), hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC), hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose phthalate (HPMCP), cellulose acetate phthalate (CAP), cellulose acetate trimellitate (CAT), and polyvinyl caprolactam-polyvinylacetate-polyethylene glycol graft copolymer. 3. A pharmaceutical composition comprising: (1) suvorexant in an amorphous form; (2) a polymer means for enhancing concentration; wherein the pharmaceutical composition is prepared by a process comprising hot melt extrusion of a mixture comprising suvorexant and the polymer means for enhancing concentration and comprises 5 mg, 10 mg, 15 mg or 20 mg of suvorexant. 4. The pharmaceutical composition according to claim 3 comprising: (1) suvorexant in an amorphous form; (2) a polymer means for enhancing concentration, wherein said polymer means is selected from the group consisting of copovidone, hydroxypropyl cellulose (HPC), hydroxypropyl methyl acetate succinate (HPMCAS), hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC), hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose phthalate (HPMCP), methyl cellulose acetate phthalate, hydroxypropyl cellulose acetate phthalate, cellulose acetate terephthalate, cellulose acetate isophthalate, cellulose acetate phthalate (CAP), cellulose acetate trimellitate (CAT), and polyvinyl caprolactam-polyvinylacetate-polyethylene glycol graft copolymer; and wherein the pharmaceutical composition is prepared by a process comprising hot melt extrusion of a mixture comprising suvorexant and the polymer means for enhancing concentration and comprises 5 mg, 10 mg, 15 mg or 20 mg of suvorexant. |
