A pharmaceutical composition comprising between 10 to 200 mg of a compound having the structural formula or a salt thereof, wherein the pharmaceutical composition is formulated for oral administration and wherein the compound is present in an amount effective to treat or reduce the symptoms of muscular dystrophy. 2. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 1, wherein the pharmaceutical composition is formulated as a tablet or capsule. 3. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 1, wherein the pharmaceutical composition is formulated as a solution or suspension. 4. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 1, wherein the pharmaceutical composition further comprises a flavoring agent. 5. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 1, wherein the muscular dystrophy is chosen from Duchenne muscular dystrophy, Becker muscular dystrophy, limb girdle muscular dystrophy, congenital muscular dystrophy, facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy, myotonic muscular dystrophy, oculopharyngeal muscular dystrophy, distal muscular dystrophy, and Emery-Dreifuss muscular dystrophy. 6. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 5, wherein the muscular dystrophy is Duchenne muscular dystrophy. 7. A pharmaceutical composition comprising between 5 to 500 mg of a compound having the structural formula or a salt thereof, wherein the pharmaceutical composition is formulated for oral administration and wherein the compound is present in an amount effective to treat or reduce the symptoms of a muscular dystrophy chosen from Duchenne muscular dystrophy, Becker muscular dystrophy, limb girdle muscular dystrophy, congenital muscular dystrophy, facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy, myotonic muscular dystrophy, oculopharyngeal muscular dystrophy, distal muscular dystrophy, and Emery-Dreifuss muscular dystrophy. 8. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 7, wherein the pharmaceutical composition is formulated as a tablet or capsule. 9. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 7, wherein the pharmaceutical composition is formulated as a solution or suspension. 10. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 7, wherein the pharmaceutical composition further comprises a flavoring agent. 11. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 7, wherein the therapeutically effective amount is between 10 mg to 200 mg of the compound. 12. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 7, wherein the muscular dystrophy is Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
