A method for treating a disease or condition associated with elevated cortisol levels in a patient in need of such treatment, said method comprising administering to said patient a dose of from about 50 mg to about 600 mg of a pharmaceutical composition, wherein the pharmaceutical composition comprises a ketoconazole component, wherein at least 90% of the ketoconazole component is the 2S, 4R ketoconazole enantiomer.

A method for treating a disease or condition associated with elevated cortisol levels in a patient in need of such treatment, said method comprising administering to said patient a dose of from about 50 mg to about 600 mg of a pharmaceutical composition, wherein the pharmaceutical composition comprises a ketoconazole component, wherein at least 99% of the ketoconazole component is the 2S, 4R ketoconazole enantiomer.
