Clinical Trials for BAY2433334

Trial ID Title Status Sponsor Phase Summary
NCT04218266 ↗ Study to Gather Information About the Proper Dosing of the Oral FXIa Inhibitor BAY 2433334 and to Compare the Safety of the Study Drug to Apixaban, a Non-vitamin K Oral Anticoagulant (NOAC) in Patients With Irregular Heartbeat (Atrial Fibrillation) Completed Bayer Phase 2 The purpose of this study is to try to find the best dose of the new drug BAY 2433334 to give to participants and to look at how well BAY 2433334 works in patients with irregular heartbeat (atrial fibrillation) that can lead to blood clots, stroke and other heart-related complications. In addition researchers want to compare the safety of the study drug to apixaban, a non-vitamin K oral anticoagulant (NOAC) in patients with atrial fibrillation. This study is also done to learn how the drug in this study moves into, through and out of the body. BAY 2433334, works by blocking a step of the blood clotting process in our body and thins the blood and is a so called oral FXIa inhibitor. Apixaban, works by reducing the production of blood clotting factors in our body and thins the blood and is a so called non-vitamin K oral anticoagulant (NOAC). Thinning the blood can prevent you from blood clots which can cause a stroke.
NCT04304508 ↗ Study to Gather Information About Proper Dosing and Safety of the Oral FXIa Inhibitor BAY 2433334 in Patients Following a Recent Non Cardioembolic Ischemic Stroke Which Occurs When a Blood Clot Has Formed Somewhere in the Human Body (But Not in the Active, not recruiting Population Health Research Institute Phase 2 The purpose of this study is to try to find the best dose of the new drug BAY 2433334 to give to participants and to look at how well BAY 2433334 works on top of antiplatelet therapy in patients following a recent non cardioembolic ischemic stroke which occurs when a blood clot that has not formed in the heart travelled to the brain. BAY 2433334, works by blocking a step of the blood clotting process in our body and thins the blood and is a so called oral FXIa inhibitor.

NCT04304534 ↗ Study to Gather Information About the Proper Dosing and Safety of the Oral FXIa Inhibitor BAY 2433334 in Patients Following an Acute Heart Attack Active, not recruiting Bayer Phase 2 The purpose of this study is to try to find the best dose of the new drug BAY 2433334 to give to participants and to look at how well BAY 2433334 works on top of a dual antiplatelet therapy (acetylsalicylic acid +/- clopidogrel) in patients following a recent heart attack (myocardial infarction) that happens when a blood vessel in the heart suddenly becomes blocked. BAY 2433334, works by blocking a step of the blood clotting process in our body and thins the blood and is a so called oral FXIa inhibitor.
NCT04510987 ↗ Study to Assess the Safety, Tolerability, Effects on the Body, Absorption, Distribution and Elimination of 25 mg BAY2433334 in Renal Impairment Including Renal Replacement Therapy ("Dialysis") Active, not recruiting Bayer Phase 1 BAY2433334 is under clinical development for prevention of complications in diseases such as heart attack, irregular heart beat or stroke which can arise by formation of blood clots elsewhere in the body and travels through the blood stream to plug another vessel. Renal impairment which co-occurs in elderly and patients with heart attack, irregular heart beat or stroke is a common condition in which the kidneys are not filtering the blood as well as they should. The goal of the study is to learn more about the safety of BAY2433334, how it is tolerated and the way the body absorbs, distributes and gets rid of the study dug given as a single oral dose of 25 mg tablet in participants with renal impairment and healthy participants matched for age-, gender-, and weight.
