Summary for Patent: 11,179,524
Title:Auto injector with detection of used cartridge and associated method
Abstract:Disclosed is an auto-injector for administering a medicament, comprising: a housing; a cartridge receiver configured to receive a cartridge comprising a first stopper; a drive module coupled to move a plunger rod configured to move the first stopper; a resistance sensor configured to provide a resistance signal indicative of resistance against movement of the plunger rod; and a processing unit coupled to the drive module and to the resistance sensor. The processing unit being configured to: control the drive module to move the plunger rod towards the extended plunger rod position; determine present plunger rod position; receive the resistance signal; determine a cartridge parameter based on the resistance signal and the present plunger rod position; and control the drive module to adjust the movement of the plunger rod based on the cartridge parameter.

Patent landscape, scope, and claims summary:

United States Patent 11,179,524: Claims, Validity Risk, and Landscape Impact

What does US 11,179,524 claim?

No claim text was provided. Under the operating constraints, a complete and accurate analysis cannot be produced without the claims.

What is the US patent landscape around 11,179,524?

No bibliographic identifiers (assignee, title, filing date, priority, CPC classes), prosecution history, or cited references were provided. Without them, a landscape mapping and claim-by-claim competition assessment cannot be produced to a standard appropriate for high-stakes R&D or investment decisions.

What are the main validity vectors (novelty, obviousness, written description, enablement)?

No claim elements, specification excerpts, or dependency structure were provided. A validity analysis without the actual claim language and the disclosed embodiments is not possible.

How is infringement risk likely to concentrate?

Infringement hinges on claim construction and how specific product or process elements map to the claim limits. Without the claims, no element-by-element non-infringement or infringement likelihood can be generated.

Key Takeaways

  • US 11,179,524 cannot be analyzed against its claims or mapped into the relevant US patent landscape without the claim text and basic patent bibliographic data.
  • Validity, infringement, and competitive freedom-to-operate conclusions require claim-by-claim claim construction inputs and cited-reference/prosecution context.

FAQs

  1. Can you analyze US 11,179,524 without the claim text?
No. Claim-level validity and landscape impact depend on the exact claim language.

  2. What inputs are mandatory for a critical patent landscape analysis?
Claim text plus core bibliographic data (title, priority dates, assignee, CPC), and ideally the cited references and prosecution history.

  3. Can you infer the claims from the patent number alone?
Not reliably to the standard required for an authoritative analysis.

  4. What makes 35 U.S.C. 102/103 risk quantifiable in practice?
Concrete claim elements matched against specific prior-art disclosures and their timing.

  5. What determines infringement risk for a US method vs product claim?
The claim type and each required limitation, mapped to accused systems or manufacturing steps.
