Patent Claims: 1. A high dose naloxone composition including naloxone at a dose greater than or equal to about 5 mg configured for administration, wherein C.sub.max is between 15 ng/mL to 24 ng/mL and the administration is an injection.

2. The high dose naloxone composition of claim 1, wherein the dose is greater than about 10 mg.

3. The high dose naloxone composition of claim 1, including naloxone hydrochloride at a dose of 5 mg/0.5 mL.

4. The high dose naloxone composition of claim 3, wherein the composition is configured for a single administration.

5. The high dose naloxone composition of claim 4, wherein the administration is using an injection device.

6. The high dose naloxone composition of claim 1, wherein the composition is aqueous.

7. The high dose naloxone composition of claim 1, wherein the C.sub.max is 15.8 ng/mL.

8. The high dose naloxone composition of claim 1, wherein the C.sub.max is 17.2 ng/mL.

9. A high dose naloxone composition including naloxone at a dose greater than about 5 mg configured for administration, wherein the AUC.sub.0-0.04 h is between 0.01 h*ng/mL and 0.1 h*ng/mL and the administration is an injection.

10. The high dose naloxone composition of claim 9, including naloxone hydrochloride at a dose of 5 mg/0.5 mL.

11. The high dose naloxone composition of claim 10, wherein the composition is configured for a single administration.

12. The high dose naloxone composition of claim 11, wherein the administration is using an injection device.

13. The high dose naloxone composition of claim 9, wherein the AUC.sub.0-0.04 h is 0.0129 h*ng/mL.

14. A high dose naloxone composition including naloxone at a dose greater than or equal to about 5 mg configured for administration, wherein the AUC.sub.0-0.08 h is between 0.05 h*ng/mL to 0.2 h*ng/mL and the administration is an injection.

15. The high dose naloxone composition of claim 14, including naloxone hydrochloride at a dose of 5 mg/0.5 mL.

16. The high dose naloxone composition of claim 15, wherein the composition is configured for a single administration.

17. The high dose naloxone composition of claim 16, wherein the administration is using an injection device.

18. The high dose naloxone composition of claim 14, wherein the AUC.sub.0-0.08 h is 0.0782 h*ng/mL.
