NCT00003697 ↗ | Dimethylxanthenone Acetic Acid in Treating Patients With Solid Tumors | Completed | University of Glasgow | Phase 1 | RATIONALE: Dimethylxanthenone acetic acid may stop the growth of cancer cells by stopping blood flow to the tumor. PURPOSE: Phase I trial to study the effectiveness of dimethylxanthenone acetic acid in treating patients with solid tumors that have not responded to previous therapy. |
NCT01057342 ↗ | Paclitaxel, Carboplatin, and Dimethylxanthenone Acetic Acid in Treating Patients With Extensive-Stage Small Cell Lung Cancer | Completed | Swiss Group for Clinical Cancer Research | Phase 2 | RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as paclitaxel and carboplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Dimethylxanthenone acetic acid may stop the growth of small cell lung cancer by blocking blood flow to the tumor. Giving paclitaxel and carboplatin together with dimethylxanthenone acetic acid may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying the side effects of giving paclitaxel and carboplatin together with dimethylxanthenone acetic acid and to see how well they work in treating patients with extensive-stage small cell lung cancer. |
NCT01285453 ↗ | Safety and Tolerability of ASA404 Administered in Combination With Docetaxel in Japanese Patients With Solid Tumors | Completed | Novartis Pharmaceuticals | Phase 1 | This study will assess the tolerability of combination therapy with ASA404 and docetaxel in Japanese patients with advanced or recurrent solid tumors. |
NCT01299415 ↗ | Safety and Pharmacokinetics of ASA404 When Given Together With Fluvoxamine, a Selective Serotonin Receptor Reuptake Inhibitor and CYP1A2 Inhibitor | Terminated | Novartis Pharmaceuticals | Phase 1 | This trial is designed to study the drug-drug interaction between ASA404 and fluvoxamine, an inhibitor of its metabolic pathway (CYP1A2). The study will consist of two phases. The purpose of the Core Phase is to study the drug drug interaction between fluvoxamine and ASA404. The purpose of the Extension Phase is to provide continued treatment for those patients that have not progressed during the Core Phase and to collect safety data on ASA404 when given in combination with paclitaxel, docetaxel or the paclitaxel plus carboplatin chemotherapy regimen. |
