Claims: | 1. A method of treating a sexual disorder in a patient, wherein the sexual disorder is selected from the group consisting of loss of sexual desire, lack of sexual desire, loss of libido, libido disturbance, and frigidity, comprising administering to said patient in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of flibanserin or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof to treat said sexual disorder. 2. The method according to claim 1, wherein the patient is female. 3. The method according to claim 1, wherein the patient is male. 4. The method according to claim 1, wherein the amount administered is between 0.1 mg to 400 mg per day of flibanserin or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof. 5. The method according to claim 1, wherein the amount administered is between 2 mg to 200 mg per day of flibanserin or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof. 6. The method according to claim 1, wherein the amount administered is in a dosage unit containing from 0.01 mg to 100 mg per day of flibanserin or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof. 7. A method of treating lack of sexual desire comprising administering to said patient in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of flibanserin or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof to treat said lack of sexual desire. 8. The method according to claim 7, wherein the patient is female. 9. The method according to claim 7, wherein the patient is male. 10. The method according to claim 7, wherein the amount administered is between 0.1 mg to 400 mg per day of flibanserin or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof. 11. The method according to claim 7, wherein the amount administered is between 1.0 mg to 300 mg per day of flibanserin or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof. 12. The method according to claim 7, wherein the amount administered is between 2 mg to 200 mg per day of flibanserin or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof. 13. The method according to claim 7, wherein the amount administered is in a dosage unit containing from 0.01 mg to 100 mg per day of flibanserin or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof. 14. A method of treating loss of sexual desire in a patient comprising administering to said patient in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of flibanserin or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof to treat said loss of sexual desire. 15. The method according to claim 14, wherein the patient is female. 16. The method according to claim 14, wherein the patient is male. 17. The method according to claim 14, wherein the amount administered is between 0.1 mg to 400 mg per day of flibanserin or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof. 18. The method according to claim 14, wherein the amount administered is between 1.0 mg and 300 mg per day of flibanserin or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof. 19. The method according to claim 14, wherein the amount administered is between 2 mg and 200 mg per day of flibanserin or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof. 20. The method according to claim 14, wherein the amount administered is in a dosage unit containing from 0.01 mg to 100 mg per day of flibanserin or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof. |
