Claims: | 1. A method for reducing transplant rejection in an eye of an individual, the method comprising: a) performing an ocular transplant procedure on an eye of an individual; and b) implanting in the vitreous cavity of the eye a bioerodible implant consisting of an immunosuppressive agent and a polylactic acid polyglycolic acid (PLGA) copolymer, thereby reducing transplant rejection in the eye, wherein the implant is produced by an extrusion method and wherein the total weight of the implant is about 1000 pg. 2. The method of claim 1, wherein the immunosuppressive agent is dexamethasone. 3. The method of claim 2, wherein the PLGA copolymer is a 50/50 PLGA copolymer. |
