Title:Devices, systems and methods for medicament delivery
Abstract: An apparatus includes a housing, a medicament container, an actuator, and a biasing member. The actuator is configured to move the medicament container within the housing when the actuator is moved from a first configuration to a second configuration. The actuator includes a gas container and a puncturer. When the actuator is in the first configuration, a portion of the puncturer is disposed apart from the gas container. When the actuator is in the second configuration, the portion of the puncturer is disposed within the gas container. The gas container has a longitudinal axis offset from a longitudinal axis of the medicament container. The biasing member is configured to bias the actuator toward the second configuration.

Claims:1. An apparatus, comprising: a housing; a medicament carrier movably disposed within the housing, the medicament carrier configured to be coupled to a plurality of medicament containers, each medicament container having a plunger disposed therein; an energy storage member disposed within the housing, the energy storage member configured to produce a force to move the medicament carrier within the housing and to move each plunger within each medicament container from the plurality of medicament containers when the energy storage member is actuated; an actuation member configured to actuate the energy storage member when the actuation member is moved within the housing in a first direction; and a biasing member in contact with the actuation member, the biasing member urging the actuation member toward the first direction.

2. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the actuation member includes a retention portion configured to engage the housing to limit movement of the actuation member.

3. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein a longitudinal axis of the energy storage member is offset from a longitudinal axis of the medicament carrier.

4. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the biasing member has a contracted configuration and an expanded configuration, the biasing member configured to move the actuation member from a first position to a second position when the biasing member moves from the contracted configuration to the expanded configuration.

5. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein: the energy storage member is a compressed gas container containing a compressed gas; the housing defines a gas chamber; and the actuation member is configured to release a portion of the compressed gas contained in the gas container into the gas chamber when the actuation member is moved.

6. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the energy storage member is a gas container movably disposed within the housing such that when the actuation member moves within the housing the gas container is moved within the housing from a first position to a second position.

7. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein: the medicament carrier is configured to move in a second direction opposite the first direction.

8. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein a distal end portion of the medicament carrier is coupled to a needle.

9. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein: a distal end portion of the medicament carrier is coupled to a needle; and the medicament carrier is configured to move between a first position in which the needle is disposed within the housing and a second position in which a portion of the needle is disposed outside of the housing.

10. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the force is configured to act on a movable member such that each plunger disposed within each medicament container is configured to move substantially simultaneously.

11. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein: wherein a distal end portion of the medicament carrier is coupled to a needle; and the force is configured to act on a movable member such that a medicament contained within each medicament container is conveyed through the needle.

12. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the medicament carrier is configured to move at a first time and each plunger is configured to move at a second time after the first time when the energy storage member is actuated.

13. An apparatus, comprising: a housing; a carrier movably disposed within the housing, a distal end portion of the carrier coupled to a needle; a plurality of medicament containers coupled to the carrier, each medicament container including a plunger; an energy storage member disposed within the housing, the energy storage member configured to produce a force to move the carrier within the housing from a first carrier position to a second carrier position, and to move each plunger within each medicament container from the plurality of medicament containers to convey a medicament within each medicament container through the needle, an end portion of the needle disposed within the housing when the carrier is in the first carrier position, the end portion of the needle disposed outside of a distal end portion of the housing when the carrier is in the second carrier position; and an actuation assembly configured to actuate the energy storage member when the actuation assembly is moved from a first configuration to a second configuration, the actuation assembly including a first actuation member movably disposed within the housing and a second actuation member coupled to the distal end portion of the housing, a portion of the second actuation member in contact with the first actuation member when the actuation assembly is in the second configuration.

14. The apparatus of claim 13, wherein a longitudinal axis of the energy storage member is offset from a longitudinal axis of the carrier.

15. The apparatus of claim 13, wherein the force is configured to act on a movable member such that each plunger disposed within each medicament container is configured to move substantially simultaneously.

16. The apparatus of claim 13, wherein the carrier is configured to move at a first time and each plunger is configured to move at a second time after the first time when the energy storage member is actuated.

17. The apparatus of claim 13, wherein: first actuation member is configured to move in a first direction within the housing; and the carrier is configured to move in a second direction when moved from the first carrier position to the second carrier position, the second direction opposite the first direction.

18. The apparatus of claim 13, further comprising: a biasing member in contact with the first actuation member, the biasing member urging the actuation assembly toward the second configuration.

19. An apparatus, comprising: a housing; a carrier movably disposed within the housing, a distal end portion of the carrier coupled to a needle; a plurality of medicament containers coupled to the carrier, each medicament container including a plunger; an energy storage member disposed within the housing, the energy storage member configured to produce a force to move the carrier within the housing from a first carrier position to a second carrier position, and to move each plunger within each medicament container from the plurality of medicament containers substantially simultaneously to convey a medicament within each medicament container through the needle; an actuation member configured to actuate the energy storage member when the actuation member is moved within the housing in a first direction; and a biasing member urging the actuation member toward the first direction.

20. The apparatus of claim 19, wherein the actuation member is a first actuation member, the apparatus further comprising: a second actuation member coupled to the distal end portion of the housing, a portion of the second actuation member configured to release the first actuation member.

21. The apparatus of claim 19, wherein the carrier is configured to move in a second direction when moved from the first carrier position to the second carrier position, the second direction opposite the first direction.

22. The apparatus of claim 19, wherein the carrier is configured to move at a first time and each plunger is configured to move at a second time after the first time when the energy storage member is actuated.

23. The apparatus of claim 19, further comprising: a retraction spring operable coupled to the carrier, the retraction spring configured to bias the carrier toward the first carrier position.
