Claims: | 1. An eye drop comprising 0.1 to 2 w/v % of a drug selected from the group consisting of carteolol, timolol betaxolol and a salt thereof, and 0.04 to 2 w/v % of a sorbic acid or a salt thereof, wherein the eye drop promotes penetration of the drug into an eye and improves retention time of the drug in ocular tissues by incorporation of sorbic acid or salt thereof. 2. An eye drop comprising carteolol or a salt thereof and sorbic acid or a salt thereof, wherein the ratio of sorbic acid or a salt thereof to carteolol or a salt thereof is 0.2 to 5 part by mole of the former to 1 part by mole of the latter, and wherein the eye drop promotes penetration of carteolol or a salt thereof into an eye and improves retention time of carteolol or a salt thereof in ocular tissues. 3. An eye drop comprising timolol or a salt thereof and sorbic acid or a salt thereof, wherein the ratio of sorbic acid or a salt thereof to timolol or a salt thereof is 0.2 to 10 part by mole of the former to 1 part by mole of the latter, and wherein the eye drop promotes penetration of timolol or a salt thereof into an eye and improves retention time of timolol or a salt thereof in ocular tissues. 4. An eye drop comprising betaxolol or a salt thereof and sorbic acid or a salt thereof wherein the ratio of sorbic acid or a salt thereof to betaxolol or a salt thereof is 0.5 to 10 part by mole of the former to 1 part by mole of the latter, and wherein the eye drop promotes penetration of betaxolol or a salt thereof into an eye and improves retention time of betaxolol or a salt thereof in ocular tissues. |
