Application Number:14/547,439
Patent Claims:1. An insect repellant composition that provides extended release of an insect repellant oil, comprising: (a) a hydrophilically-modified cross-linked silicone elastomer; (b) an acrylic rheology modifier; (c) a polyol, said polyol comprising glyercin; (d) an alcohol, said alcohol comprising ethanol; and (e) an insect repellant oil, wherein said alcohol comprises from about 20% to about 75% of the composition, wherein said composition is substantially anhydrous.

2. A composition for providing extended release of fragrance comprising: (a) a hydrophilically-modified cross-linked silicone elastomer; (b) an acrylic rheology modifier; (c) a polyol; (d) an alcohol comprising ethanol; and (e) a fragrance oil, wherein said alcohol comprises from about 20% to about 75% of the composition, wherein said composition is substantially anhydrous.

3. The composition according to claim 2, wherein said hydrophilically-modified cross-linked silicone elastomer comprises poly(alkylene oxide) chains grafted to a silicone backbone.

4. The composition according to claim 2, wherein said hydrophilically-modified cross-linked silicone elastomer comprises PEG-12 dimethicone/PPG-20 crosspolymer.

5. The composition according to claim 2, wherein said acrylic rheology modifier comprises a copolymer of an acrylate monomer and an acrylamide monomer.

6. The composition according to claim 2, wherein said acrylic rheology modifier comprises hydroxylethyl acrylate/sodium acryloyldimethyltaurate copolymer.

7. The composition according to claim 2, wherein said fragrance oil comprises a blend of one or more fragrance oils.

8. The composition according to claim 2, wherein said hydrophilically-modified cross-linked silicone elastomer is present in an amount from about 0.5% to about 5% by weight of the total composition.

9. The composition according to claim 2, wherein said acrylic rheology modifier is present in an amount from about 0.5% to about 5% by weight of the total composition.

10. The composition according to claim 2, wherein the weight ratio of said hydrophilically-modified cross-linked silicone elastomer and said acrylic rheology modifier is from about 2:1 to about 1:2.

11. The composition according to claim 2, further comprising one or more actives selected from the group consisting of: retinoids, hydroxyl acids, depigmenting agents, botanicals, collagenase inhibitors, elastase inhibitors, sunscreens, anti-perspirants, deodorants, anti-bacterias, and anti-fungals.

12. The composition according to claim 2, further comprising one or more colorants.

13. A method for providing prolonged delivery of a fragrance oil comprising applying to a surface a composition according to claim 2.

14. The method according to claim 13, wherein said surface is a human integument.

15. The composition according to claim 2, wherein said alcohol comprises from about 25% to about 65% by weight of the composition.

16. A long-wearing composition for providing extended release of fragrance, said composition comprising: (a) from about 0.5% to about 10% by weight of a hydrophilically-modified cross-linked silicone elastomer; (b) from about 0.1% to about 25% by weight of an acrylic rheology modifier; (c) from about 20% to about 75% by weight of a polyol; (d) from about 20% to about 75% by weight of an alcohol; and (e) from about 0.5% to about 25% by weight of a fragrance oil, wherein said alcohol comprises ethanol, wherein said composition is substantially anhydrous.

17. The composition according to claim 16, wherein said alcohol comprises from about 25% to about 65% by weight of the composition.
