2. The compound as recited in claim 1 wherein each position represented as D has deuterium enrichment of no less than about 10%.

3. The compound as recited in claim 1 wherein each position represented as D has deuterium enrichment of no less than about 50%.

4. The compound as recited in claim 1 wherein each position represented as D has deuterium enrichment of no less than about 90%.

5. The compound as recited in claim 1 wherein each position represented as D has deuterium enrichment of no less than about 98%.

12. A pharmaceutical composition comprising a compound as recited in claim 1 together with a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.

13. A method of treatment of a lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2-mediated disorder comprising the administration of a therapeutically effective amount of a compound as recited in claim 1 to a patient.

The method as recited in claim 13 wherein said disorder is selected from the group consisting of coronary disorders, primary and secondary coronary disorders, acute coronary disorders, atherosclerosis, peripheral vascular atherosclerosis, cerebrovascular atherosclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes, stroke, myocardial infarction, reperfusion injury, acute and chronic inflammation, psoriasis, and asthma.

15. The method as recited in claim 13 further comprising the administration of an additional therapeutic agent.

16. The method as recited in claim 15 wherein said additional therapeutic agent is selected from the group consisting of alpha adrenergic receptor antagonists, angiotensin II receptor antagonists, angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors, anti-arrhythmics, anti-thrombotics, anti-platelet agents, beta adrenergic receptor antagonists, calcium channel blockers, fibrates, and HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors.

The method as recited in claim 16 wherein said angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor is selected from the group consisting of captopril, enalapril, lisinopril, perindopril, ramipril, quinapril, benazepril, cilazapril, fosinopril, trandolapril, spirapril, delapril, moexipril, temocapril, zofenopril, and imidapril.

The method as recited in claim 16 wherein said anti-arrhythmic is selected from the group consisting of quinidine, procainamide, disopyramide, sparteine, ajmaline, prajmaline, lorajmine, lidocaine, mexiletine, tocainide, aprindine, propafenone, flecainide, lorcainide, encainide, amiodarone, bretylium tosilate, bunaftine, dofetilide, ibutilidem, tedisamil, moracizine, and cibenzoline.
