Patent Claims:	1. A method of treating a disease in a patient having the disease, wherein the disease is a lymphoma, the method comprising administering to the patient having the disease a therapeutically effective amount of a compound of formula (I) ##STR00006## or a therapeutically acceptable salt thereof, wherein A.sup.1 is N or C(A.sup.2); The method of claim 1, wherein the disease is a follicular lymphoma. 3. The method of claim 1, further comprising administering to the patient having the disease a therapeutically effective amount of one additional therapeutic agent or more than one additional therapeutic agent. 4. The method of claim 3, wherein the one additional therapeutic agent or more than one additional therapeutic agent is selected from the group consisting of etoposide, vincristine, CHOP, rituximab, rapamycin, and VCP. 5. A method of treating a disease in a patient having the disease, wherein the disease is a lymphoma, the method comprising administering to the patient having the disease a therapeutically effective amount of a compound, or a therapeutically acceptable salt thereof, wherein the compound is selected from the group consisting of: N-(4-(4-((1,1'-biphenyl)-2-ylmethyl)piperazin-1-yl)benzoyl)-4-(((1R)-3-(d- imethylamino)-1-((phenylsulfanyl)methyl)propyl)amino)-3-nitrobenzenesulfon- amide; The method of claim 5, wherein the disease is a follicular lymphoma. 7. The method of claim 5, further comprising administering to the patient having the disease a therapeutically effective amount of one additional therapeutic agent or more than one additional therapeutic agent. 8. The method of claim 7, wherein the one additional therapeutic agent or more than one additional therapeutic agent is selected from the group consisting of etoposide, vincristine, CHOP, rituximab, rapamycin, and VCP.
