Patent Claims:	1. A pharmaceutical composition for administration through the cheek lining comprising (a) a delivery agent selected from 4-MOAC, and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, and (b) a parathyroid hormone component, wherein the composition is free of calcitonin. 2. The composition of claim 1, wherein the delivery agent is a monosodium salt of 4-MOAC. 3. A method for preventing or treating osteoporosis in a patient in need thereof comprising administering through the cheek lining an effective amount of a pharmaceutical composition comprising (a) a delivery agent selected from 5-CNAC, 4-MOAC, and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, and (b) a parathyroid hormone component, wherein the composition is free of calcitonin. 4. A method of stimulating new bone formation in a patient comprising administering through the cheek lining an effective amount of a pharmaceutical composition comprising (a) a delivery agent selected from 5-CNAC, 4-MOAC, and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, and (b) a parathyroid hormone component, wherein the composition is free of calcitonin. 5. A method for treating hypoparathyroidism in a patient in need thereof comprising administering through the cheek lining an effective amount of a pharmaceutical composition comprising (a) a delivery agent selected from 5-CNAC, 4-MOAC, and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, and (b) a parathyroid hormone component, wherein the composition is free of calcitonin. 6. The method of claim 3, wherein the delivery agent is 5-CNAC, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. 7. The method of claim 4, wherein the delivery agent is 5-CNAC, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. 8. The method of claim 5, wherein the delivery agent is 5-CNAC, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. 9. The method of claim 6, wherein the delivery agent is a monosodium salt of 5-CNAC. 10. The method of claim 7, wherein the delivery agent is a monosodium salt of 5-CNAC. 11. The method of claim 8, wherein the delivery agent is a monosodium salt of 5-CNAC.
