Patent Claims:1. A combination comprising: (a) a conjugate comprising a 4-1BBL immune co-stimulatory polypeptide and avidin or streptavidin; and (b) an antigen associated with an infectious agent.

2. The combination of claim 1, wherein said antigen is bound to said 4-1BBL conjugate.

3. The combination of claim 1, wherein said antigen is conjugated to a biotin moiety, to form an antigen-biotin conjugate.

4. The combination of claim 3, wherein said antigen-biotin conjugate is bound to said 4-1BBL conjugate via said biotin moiety.

5. The combination of claim 1, wherein said antigen is not bound to said 4-1BBL conjugate.

6. The combination of claim 1, wherein said infectious agent is a bacteria.

7. The combination of claim 6, wherein said bacteria is selected from the group consisting of Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Bacillus anthracis, and Staphylococcus aureus.

8. The combination of claim 1, wherein said infectious agent is a virus.

9. The combination of claim 8, wherein said virus is selected from the group consisting of Adenoviridae, Arenaviridae Caliciviridae, Coronaviridae, Filoviridae, Flaviviridae, Hepadnaviridae, Herpesviridae, Orthomyxoviridae, Papillomaviridae, Picornaviridae, Poxyiridae, Reoviridae, Retroviridae, Rhabdoviridae, and Togaviridae.

10. The combination of claim 1, wherein said infectious agent is a parasite.

11. The combination of claim 10, wherein said parasite is selected from the group consisting of Plasmodium and Leishmania.

12. The combination of claim 1, wherein said infectious agent is a fungus.

13. The combination of claim 12, wherein said fungus is selected from the group consisting of Aspergillis, Candida, Coccidia, Cryptococci, Geotricha, Histoplasma, Microsporidia, and Pneumocystis.

14. The combination of claim 1, further comprising a pharmaceutically acceptable excipient.

15. The combination of claim 1, wherein said 4-1BBL conjugate is provided in a container that also contains said antigen.

16. The combination of claim 1, wherein said 4-1BBL conjugate is provided in a separate container from said antigen.

17. The combination of claim 1, wherein said conjugate comprises the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 8.
