A method of treating an allergic reaction in a patient in need thereof comprising administering to said patient a solid unit dosage form comprising an effective amount of 4-[4-[4-(Hydroxydiphenylmethyl)-1-piperidinyl]-1-hydroxybutyl]-.alpha.,.a- lpha.-dimethylbenzeneacetic acid hydrochloride comprising Form II hydrated 4-[4-[4-(Hydroxydiphenylmethyl)-1-piperidinyl]-1-hydroxybutyl]-.alpha.,.a- lpha.-dimethylbenzeneacetic acid hydrochloride. |
