Basic Plan

The Basic Plan provides comprehensive information on all FDA-approved pharmaceutical drugs - discontinued and active, with and without patent protection or other forms of market exclusivity.

The basic plan is simpler than the Premium Plan and Ultimate Plan, lacking the rich graphs, historical archives, sales data, and some of the more powerful search functions. Information on failure to pay patent maintenance fees, reexaminations, interferences, disclaimers, Paragraph IV challenges, and advanced search functions are also not included in the Basic Plan (see the plan comparison for full details).

A monthly patent expiration bulletin provides advance notice of impending patent expirations.

The Basic Plan is designed to answer the following questions:

• Which patents cover specific pharmaceutical drugs?
• When do key pharmaceutical drug patents expire?
• Which FDA market exclusivities protect drugs?
